This week sees a number of interesting fixtures, the two that stand out the most is the Derby D’Italia (Inter Milan v Juventus), and the relegation dog fight between Genoa and Siena.

The last meeting between Inter and Juventus saw Inter take away the three points with a Diego Milito brace in a 3-1 win. Both clubs have a lot at stake in this tie, Juventus are currently sitting nine points clear at the top of the table and will want to continue pressing forward for the Scudetto as well as getting one back against their old rival, Inter meanwhile will be keen to maintain their Champions League presence as they go through a transitional period in the clubs history.

Other than the Derby D’Italia, Genoa vs. Siena is probably the second biggest game of the week. They are placed in 17th and 18th respectively with only one point separating the two sides.

Genoa has the upper hand being the home side and will be hoping the Luigi Ferraris crowd will be the decisive 12th man. Siena however will be buoyed by their recent win against Palermo and the chance to creep out of the relegation zone should they win this game, which will no doubt provide extra ammunition and fire in the Robur.

Napoli, Milan and even Fiorentina will be hoping to keep piling the pressure on each other with what looks like the battle for second place (although stranger things have happened).

AC Milan face a tricky away tie to Chievo who have been in good form of late and will be looking to distance themselves from the relegation dog fight.

Napoli are away to Torino, a tie that Napoli need to win if they are to have any chance of catching Juventus.

Fiorentina will be looking to build on their Champions League push with an away tie at Cagliari. La Viola has won their last three games and will need to continue in the same fashion if they are to earn that all important Champions League spot.

Both Lazio and Catania are still in with a shout for a European place and will fight it out at the Stadio Olimpico. Both team’s league form have been of mixed fortunes lately and they will be looking at this game as a make or break game for their season.

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini will be hoping for an improvement from his players in their tie against Roma. Zamparini doubled the player’s relegation avoidance bonus from €1.6 million to €3.2m hoping this would give the players more incentive to keep the Sicilian side in the top flight.

Atalanta host Sampdoria in Bergamo this weekend with the Blucerchiati having an extra rest due to their week 29 game against Inter being called off due to adverse weather conditions. Atalanta will want to put to bed the lingering prospect of relegation as they creep ever closer to the bottom three.

Udinese’s recent form has been a mixed bag of late and they will hoping to improve their consistency against a Bologna side that although currently eleventh in the league have only two points more than Atalanta in in sixteenth.

Pescara, firmly in the relegation zone will be looking at every fixture as a must win game if they have any hopes of remaining in Serie A next year, they face a mid-tabled Parma at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, and currently stand deep in the relegation zone five points from safety. They will also have one eye on today’s other relegation scrap between Genoa and Siena.

Buona Pasqua a tutti, Forza Italia!
