The name Pogba is synonymous in the football world, as Juventus and France star Paul Pogba continues to develop into a top-class star.

The 21-year-old all-action midfielder progressed through the ranks at Manchester United, only to be snatched away by Serie A giants Juventus, in one of the Old Trafford club’s biggest errors of a generation.

Pogba has won two Scudetti since moving to Turin, while furthering his considerable reputation with glimpses of brilliance at the World Cup.

With the Juve man’s agent Mino Raiola stating recently that a new world-record transfer fee will be required to pry the midfielder away from the Italian champions, Pogba has the potential to be a one of the best players in world football in years to come.

However, in their younger brother’s shadow, Florentin and Mathias Pogba are also professional footballers but not at the same level of fame as the Juventus star.

While Paul was born in France, his twin brothers were born in Guinea and have become fully fledged internationals of the African nation.

Florentin started out his footballing career at Spanish side Celta Vigo, spending two years in the club’s youth ranks before moving to French club Sedan.

Mathias and Florentin PogbaAfter a number of seasons in Ligue 2, Saint-Etienne snapped the Conakry-born defender up in 2012, but he initially struggled to make inroads at the club.

This season Florentin has had more opportunities to play, with his versatility of playing either as a left-back or centre-half giving him the chance to start 11 Ligue 1 fixtures this term.

The 24-year-old was selected for Guinea’s African Cup of Nations campaign last month, playing in his country’s clashes against eventual winners Côte d’Ivoire and Cameroon.

However, Pogba picked up a serious thigh injury that ruled him out of the rest of the tournament, with the defender unlikely to feature at club level again this season either as a result.

It is unfortunate timing for Florentin given that he has started to become a regular feature at Saint-Etienne and is beginning to live up to the promise of his early career.

Third brother Mathias completes the triumvirate and is a striker that currently plays in the lower reaches of English football.

The sprightly attacker also started out on Celta Vigo’s books before finding himself in Wales with Conference side Wrexham.

Pogba proved himself to have a killer instinct in front of goal over two seasons with the Racecourse Ground outfit, before taking the opportunity to sign for Crewe and play in the Football League.

A regular starter in his first campaign with the Gresty Road side in 2012-13, Pogba netted 12 goals in 31 starts, before finding himself more of a fringe figure last season.

The opportunity to join his brother Paul in Italy arrived and he snapped it up ahead of this term, but instead of signing for Serie A champions Juventus, it was at the more modest surroundings of second-tier side Pescara.

Pogba struggled badly during his time in Italy and managed only four substitute appearances for the Serie B side, totalling a paltry 24 minutes of action, in just over six months with the club.

Mathias has recently signed with Crawley Town and has started two League One games following penning a short-term deal in January to take him to the end of the season.

Mathias has also been capped by Guinea, playing twice for the nation of his birth in 2013 but has been largely overlooked since his club career has taken a sideways step.

It is fair to say that neither Florentin nor Mathias will ever reach the heady heights of younger brother Paul, but the Pogba name in the footballing world is also being furthered in French and English club football.
